This was another case of the first half blues. We had a terrible warm-up which showed through in our first half performance. It took us long enough to take the lead with a great goal from Sophie only like last week we immediately surrendered it. Kerry then took advantage of a mistake by the Chatteris keeper and kept her cook to shoot with her left foot to give us a narrow half-time lead.
After another strong talking to at half-time the girls again came out hungry and we added to our tally with an own goal from Chatteris. this seemed to stir us on and Amie & Yazz added to the score to make it a bit more respectable.
Some hard work is needed at training to make the girls a bit tougher because they don't seem to like it when the opposition are in their faces.
Player of the match this week was a difficult decision because no one player stood out but I think praise should go to Recky and Kiera. Although Recky didn't have much to do, she commanded her area well and her kicking was great in difficult conditions. Kiera came off the pitch after giving her all and really stood up to the Chatteris defenders. Well done to both of you.
