The final game of the season - the final match report!

After the journey to Terrington on a beautiful sunny morning, the team arrived with a spring in their step and full of good hope for the game. The facilities were amazing and the pitch wonderful - which are words that can also be used on the teams performance.. Despite losing 4-1 the team effort and work rate was amazing - some of the girls played their best games of the season and it was once again unfortunate the win was not theirs. Our trusty defence of Holly, Steph & Sian were solid and reliable as usual, Immy commanded the right with some wonderful work, including 2 wonderful free kicks which although unlucky not to score from them she was rewarded with a well deserved goal, assisted by Steph. The fantastic effort from Emily in Midfield, despite suffering from illness gave Ali and Grace chances which unfortunately they were not able to put away and Bella worked well and commanded her area - a role which she certainly has lmade her own this season. The whole team finished the season with a solid and encouraging display - one which Chris is extremely proud of.

A few tournaments in the Summer and a couple of potential new signings are all positives for Chris to build on and work with for next season. If the team play as well as they did in this game and believe in themselves, it is looking good for 2010/2011.
